Here is a list of our favorite Prague picnic spots (in no particular order). The spots are either park benches, grassy fields, or waist-high walls. One of the best spots in Prague is on a row boat! Every spot is linked with Google Maps so you can find it and enjoy a picnic or a glass of wine.

1. Chotkovy Sady, viewpoint

A magical spot with two secluded park benches overlooking the city of Prague, Vltava River and its majestic bridges...if the bench is available.

2. Chotkovy Sady, park

The park’s giant trees and grass are perfect for a classic picnic. There’s also a city view from here and the Prague Castle and royal gardens are nearby.

3. Royal Gardens, Prague Castle

Walkway from Chotkovy sady to the Prague Castle has a low sitting wall and five park benches. It’s quiet with an incredible view of the Prague Castle.

4. Hanavsky Pavilion, viewpoint

At Hanavsky Pavilion restaurant there’s a sweeping viewpoint with a counter built on the fence. Picnic here, on a park bench, or in the grass.

6. Letna Park, bridges viewpoint

Letna Park rests above Prague and this spot looks down on the Vltava River and Charles’ Bridge. Use benches or sit on the edge and watch a sunset in Prague.

7. Letna Park, metronome

A giant metronome ticks above Prague. It replaced one of the largest statues of Stalin in Central Europe and now It’s alive with bikers, skateboarders, and visitors.

9. Prague Castle, castle square

Outside the main gate of the Prague Castle, benches ring a monument at the Schwarzenberg Palace. Nearby, a viewpoint overlooks the city.

10. Strahov Monastery #1

Below the Strahov Monastery, a walking path enters Petrin Park. 15 park benches offer a skyline view of Prague. This path also leads to viewpoint #2.

11. Strahov Monastery #2

From viewpoint #1, continue walking, three minutes later you reach viewpoint #2. Here, an awesome view of Prague’s Castle is served on a silver platter!

Peaceful park benches are scattered throughout Petrin Park. This spot overlooks an orchard of apple and almond trees.

8. Letna Park, park

13. Kampa Park, grassy park

Not far from Charles’ Bridge, Kampa Park is an oasis of grass and trees. Take of your shoes, find some shade, and relax. A good spot for a city picnic with kids.
